Nando’s, the acclaimed South African chain of restaurants serving the world-famous flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken, has launched an exciting new range of items across its restaurants in India. The new menu adds some unique dishes with a desi PERi-twist that has something for everyone. Fresh ingredients coupled with unique flavours and an array of pocket friendly offerings are the highlights of the new menu.

Complementing the classic Nando’s style with a dash of Indian tadka, the new range promises to delight customers with a progressive PERi-PERi twist to classic dishes. From the non-vegetarian fare, we absolutely loved the Quarter Chicken and Spicy Rice topped with tomato relish. Soulful hearty classics like Saucy Chicken liver with grilled cherry tomatoes & courgettes served on a bed of spicy rice and the mouth-watering chicken and pineapple skewers grilled to perfection and accompanied by toasted pita, yogurt dip and salsa were fantastic. Indulge in PERi-PERi goodness with mouth-watering Chicken & cheese burger and Chicken Naan topped with sumptuous chicken in a spicy sauce and drizzled with mozzarella.

The new must have meals for vegetarians are the Bowl-o-Paneer and PERi Veg Naan. The comfort bowl of Paneer Bhurji, snow peas and red pepper served on Spicy Rice was delicious and comforting. The Veg Naan had Chickpeas and lentils in a spicy sauce, grated mozzarella, fresh red onion and coriander served with a drizzle of yoghurt sauce.

To beat the sweltering Indian heat and by popular demand, the much loved Nando’s Designer Drinks make a comeback on the menu. Zesty mocktails such as Citrus Bliss, Rosa Fresca and Madeira Red make the perfect coolers after a scorching day out.

For those with a sweet tooth, the ‘Grilled Pineapple in Caramel Sauce with Vanilla ice-cream’ will be the ultimate summer blockbuster. Choco Raspberry cake with Oreo cookie crust with Choco ganache was gooey, rich and excellent. We also loved their cheesecake. A must try!

In all, Nando’s is a great place for fuss free food. It’s well lit, spacious decor and serves lip smacking fare. Famous for their superior quality chicken fare, this new menu is more for people on the go owing to their combo fares and is very budget friendly for items starting as low as Rs160/-.
